1st Division Chess League:round 6

Leonine Chess Club is now leading the points table with 20 points after end of the 6th round games of the Dutch-Bangla Bank 1st Division Chess League-2007, sponsored by Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited .Pritam Prism Chess Club is in 2nd position with 19½ points and Destiny 2000 Limited is in 3rd position with 18½ points. 6th round games were held yesterday (Sunday). In the 6th round Leonine beat Pritam Prijam by 2½-1½ points. IM Sriram Jha of Leonine beat Sohel Chowdhury, GM Neelotpal Das, GM Niaz Murshed and FM Kh. Aminul Islam of Leonine drew with Rahul Sangma, Monir Hossain and Santu Mondal of Pritam Prijam respectively. Destiny beat Toyota Motors Chess Club by 3-1 points. Hafizul Islam Chapal of Toyota Motors beat FM Sk. Nasir Hossain of Destiny. FM Minhazuddin Ahmed, FM Taibur Rahman and Debaraj Chatterjee of Destiny beat Farhadur Rahman, Abdullah Al Saif and Ibrahim Hossain respectively. Bangladesh Biman beat i2 soft Solution Ltd. by 4-0 points. GM Ziaur Rahman, GM Reefat Bin Sattar, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag and FM Rezaul Haque of Biman beat Nahid Parvej, Farhadur Imam, Obaidul Islam Shahin and Shahjahan Kabir of i2 soft respectively. Chittagong Mohammadan Sporting Club beat Faith Chess Club by 4-0 points. IM Roktim Bandyopadhyay, IM Saptarshi Roy, FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman and Mohammad Ali of Mohammadan beat Masudur Rahman Bari, Moshtafizur Rahman, Zohirul Islam and Nasirul Islam Sangram of Faith respectively. Other matches of 6th round are: Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club beat Friends Chess Power by 2½-1½ points, Farashgonj Sporting Club beat Mohakhali Prodip Sangha by 3-1 points and Dhaka University Chess Club drew with Sultana Kamal Smiriti Pathaghar by 2-2 points
