1st Division Chess League:Round 11

Leonine Chess Club is maintaining their lead in the points table with 37½ points after end of the 11th round games of the Dutch-Bangla Bank 1st Division Chess League-2007. Bangladesh Biman is in 2nd position with 36½ points. Chittagong Mohammedan Sporting Club is in 3rd position with 34½ points. 11th round games were held yesterday (Wednesday). In the 11th round Leonine beat Destiny 2000 Limited by 3-1 points. IM Sriram Jha and GM Niaz Murshed of Leonine beat FM Sk. Nasir Ahmed and FM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar of Destiny. GM Neelotpal Das and FM Kh. Aminul Islam of Leonine drew with IM Enamul Hossain Razib and FM Faibur Rahman of Destiny respectively. Biman beat Pritam Prijam Chess Club by 3½-½ points. GM Ziaur Rahman, GM Reefat Bin Sattar and GM Abdullah Al Rakib of Biman beat Rahul Sangma, Sohel Chowdhury and Monir Hossain of Pritam Prijam respectively and FM Abu Sufian Shakil of Biman drew with Santu Modal of Pritam Prijam. Chittagong Mohammedan beat Mohakhali Prodip Sangah by 3½-½ points IM Saptarshi Roy and Saifuddin Lavlu of Mohammadan beat Abdur Rashid, Sharif Hossain and Shamsul Kabir Chowdhury of Pradip Sangah respectively. Mohammad Ali of Mohammedan drew with S.A.M. Nasir of Pradip Sangah. Other matches of 8th round are: Farshgonj Sporting Club beat Dhaka University Chess Club by 2½-1½ points, Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club beat i2 soft Solution Ltd. by 3-1 points, Friends Chess Power beat Sultana Kamal Smiriti Pathaghar by 2½-1½ points and Toyota Motors Chess Club drew with Faith Chess Club by 2-2 points.
