10th Standard Chartered School Chess Tournament-2008

Rezaul Islam Babu of Rajbari district and Abhropratim Manna are now jointly lead in the points table after end of the 5th round games in Class VI to X Group of the 10th Standard Chartered School Chess Tournament. MD. Sifat Hossain of Badda Alatunnesa School is in 2nd position with 4½ points. Aditya Chakraborty and Sayan Majumder of India are jointly leadign the points table with maximum 5 points each in group KG to V. after end of the 5th round games. Mohammad Fahim, Sohan Irtiaj, Md. Bappi, Swargajyoti, Mitrabha, Fahad Rahman and Md. Santa are sharing 2nd position with 4 points each. In the Girls section Mohona Sengupta and Shaati Majumder of India are jointly leading the points table with 4½ points each after end of the 5th round games. Protiva Talukder of Bogra and Arna Sarkar of India are jointly in 2nd position with 4 points each.In the 5th round: Class VI to X group: Babu beat Asim Roy of India, Aubhropratim beat Mosabbir Khan Shiblu, Sifat beat Nekesh Duwal of India and Ekramul Haque Siam drew with Debotpal Dey. KG to V Group: Aditya beat Fahim, Sayan beat Afzal, Mitrobha beat Al-Amin, Fahad beat Alfaz, Sohan beat Arafat, Swargjyoti beat Nayeem and Santa beat Jannat. In the Girls section Mohona beat Arna Sarkar, Shaati beat Diotoma Dutta, Protiva beat Nahid Hossain and Shiny beat Ahely Sarkar.6th round games will start today (Sunday) from 3:30 PM at the same venues.
