Moniruzzaman Khan of Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club became unbeaten1st in the Metropolis Selection Chess Tournament-2008, which was held atBangladesh Chess Federation hall-room. Monir earned 8 points to clinch the1st position. Syed Abdul Zaker of Sultana Kamal Smiriti Pathagar became 2nd7½. 17 players earned 6½ points each. Their position break by progressivescore. Their positions are: 3rd- Gyesuddin Mithu,4th-Syed Ibrahim Hossain,5th-Nasir Uddin Mahood, 6th-Nahid Parvej, 7th-Shahjahan Kabir, 8th-Sk.Anwar Hossain, 9th-S.A.M.
