The games of the 29th National Junior (Under-20 years) Chess Championship,organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation began from yesterday (Wednesday)at the hall-room of Bangladesh Chess Federation. 122 boys and girls fromDhaka city and 17 several districts are participating in the event. 11 ofthem are rated players and 25 of them are girls. 59 players won their 1stround game and earned maximum point after end of the 1st round including FMMinhazuddin Ahmed Sagar, WFM Shamima Akter Liza, Rezaul Islam Babu, SharifHossain, Saimon Siddiqur Rahman, Sub-Junior Champion Abdullah Al Saif,Ikramul Haque Siam, Arifa Khatun Moni, Nurul Islam Mahin, Mohammad Fahim,Sub-Junior Runner-up Mosabbir Khan Shiblu and Shamsuddoha Shakil. In the1st round games: Sgar beat Habib, Liza beat Tisha, Babu beat Tani, Sharifbeat Reshma, Saif beat Liakot, Siam beat Sagir, Saimon beat Farhan, Monibeat Fuad, Mahin beat Shakera, Fahim beat Nasir, Shiblu beat Amena andShakin beat MasturaThe event is being held in 9 round Swiss-League system.2nd round games will start today (Thursday) from 3:30 PM at the same venue.
