WFM Tanima Parveen of Chittagong and WFM Shamima Akter Liza are now jointly leading the points table with 4 points each after end of the 5th round games.5th round games were held today (Wednesday). In the 5th round Liza beat National Woman Champion IWM Rani Hamid and Tanima drew with Pallabi Roy of India. IWM Rani Hamid, Nazrana Khan Eva of Manikgonj and Pallabi Roy are sharing 2nd position with 3 points each. Jahanara Haque Runu, WFM Zakia Sultana and , Sharmin Sultana Shirin earned 2½ points each. In the 5th round Eva beat Masuda Begum, Shirin beat Arifa Khatun Moni, Zakia drew with Runu, Rokshana Titli drew with Shaati Majumder of India.

In the 4th round Tanima drew with Rani Hamid, Liza beat Jahanara Haque Runu, Pallabi beat Sharmin Sultana Shirin, Zakia Sultana drew with Masuda Begum, Nazrana Khan Eva beat Rokshana Titli and Shaati Majumder beat Arifa Khatun Moni. 3rd round games were held yesterday (Monday) night. In the 3rd round Tanima beat Liza, Rani Hamid beat Eva and Runu beat Shaati, Zakia drew with Pallabi, Masuda drew with Shirin and Moni drew with Titli. 5th round games will start tomorrow (Wednesday) from 9:30 AM at the same venue
WFM Shamima Akter Liza and WFM Tanima Parvee are now jointly leading the points table with maximum 2 points each after end of the 2nd round games in the Prime Bank Women 3rd International Rating Chess Tournament, sponsored by Prime Bank Limited, organized by Leonine Chess Club, assistance with Sakti Motors, Hotel Media International Ltd. Cox's Bazar and Bangladesh Chess Federation,which is now being held at Hotel Media International at Cox's Bazar. IWM Rani Hamid is in 2nd position with 1.5 points. 2nd games yesterday (Monday). In the 2nd round: Liza beat Pallabi Roy of India, Tanima beat Nazrana Khan Eva, Rani Hamid beat Sharmin Sultana Shirin, Masuda Begum beat Rokshana Titli, Jahanara Haque beat Arifa Khatun Moni and WFM Zakia Sultana drew with Shaati Majumder of India. 12 women players from India and Bangladesh are participating in the event.
